The Company was founded in 2006 by President and CEO, J. Kelly Ganjei and scientific co-founder Luciano D’Adamio, MD, PhD. Through a series of angel financing, state grants, and a small venture round, the founders have continued to progress the research and development of the Alzheimer’s disease program into early preclinical studies and created a novel animal model of Alzheimer's disease. The founders and advisors of RGX stem from the leading Institutions from around the world, including Harvard Medical School, the National Institutes of Health, Albert Einstein University, Georgetown University, Trinity College, among others. Collectively, RGX has a wide variety of experience from both a business and scientific perspective, and will leverage this to effectively build a company focused on the commercialization of novel effective therapeutics for the cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer's disease. |
